Will Shailene Woodley Play Mary Jane In Future Spider-Man Movies?

Park City, UT — For the last few years, Shailene Woodley has been busy doing things in pairs. This year, two films based on YA novels, "Divergent" and "The Fault in Our Stars," will hit the big screen. In addition to "Divergent," a big-budget potential franchise starter, she also filmed scenes for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" as Peter Parker's eventual girlfriend Mary Jane Watson.

While her small role in the upcoming Marvel didn't didn't make the final cut, an appearance in "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" was never officially taken off the table. When Woodley spoke with MTV News in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival, she cast doubt on the possibility of reprising the role of MJ because of an increasingly busy schedule.

"I don't know anything, but seeing as how they picked up the next two 'Divergent' films, I don't know how I would keep my sanity with two big action films in one year," she said. "But anything can happen."

Though it might not boast the same scale as "Divergent" or "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," "The Fault in Our Stars" promises to deliver an emotional punch that rivals the might of any blockbuster. For the adaptation of John Green's beloved book, Woodley got to reteam with her "Divergent" co-star Ansel Elgort.

According to Woodley, fans of the book don't have to worry about one important scene in particular, because Elgort totally nailed it.

"There is one scene in the book where Gus goes to a gas station, and he tries to buy a pack of cigarettes because it's the only way ...

HBO’s ‘Looking’ Premiere: Here’s Everything You Missed

Sunday night on HBO brought you the latest episode of "True Detective" and the crazy antics of Lena Dunham and company but it also premiered their latest series, "Looking."

The brainchild of buzzy British director Andrew Haigh and writer Michael Lannan, the series focuses on a group of tight knit friends as they live and love in the city of San Francisco. The pilot episode, titled "Looking For Now" showcased all of the trademark elements that made Haigh's previous film a critical success: the attention to setting and a sense of realism and naturalism that a lot of other series lack.

Here are some of the biggest moments from last night's premiere.

Let's Talk About Sex
From the opening scene where main character Patrick attempts to unsuccessfully hook up with a man in the park and to the very successful threesome that Agustin and his boyfriend initiate in their art studio, the show definitely has plenty of awkward, funny and intimate interactions. And while there are plenty of salacious moments, it's clear that the sex scenes drive the characters and story rather than focusing on the act.

Oakland Is Cheaper
The rent is too high in San Francisco. That's one of the reasons that Agustin decides to move in with his boyfriend in Oakland. But as we see later in the episode, Agustin clearly misses life in the city. Will this cause friction in their seemingly happy relationship? Stay tuned to see if Agustin can truly give up life in the city for domesticity in the suburbs.

‘Sherlock’ Burning Questions: What’s Next For Holmes And Watson?

After two years away from the small screen, "

But now that we're over the emotional high of seeing Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch doing their dance of deduction, there's so much new and exciting material to parse -- and more on the way! Here are the questions we're pondering before next week's episode.

Which Big Moment Made You Lose Your Mind?
There were multiple, major emotional moments in "The Empty Hearse" -- from long-awaited reunions to surprise romances to outright trolling, in which Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat were clearly trying to make us lose our minds. So, 'fess up: what did it for you? The Sherlock-Molly liplock? The restaurant reunion? Mrs. Hudson, screaming? The big hug from Lestrade? Unless you have a stone heart, at least one of these scenes made you a) scream out loud, b) cry real tears, or c) meow like a cat.

Can We Get a Better Bad Guy?
Lord Moran, the man behind the big bomb hidden beneath Parliament, was such a toothless, unmemorable villain that we had to go back and look up his name just for the purposes of writing this question. Maybe "The Empty Hearse" put crime-solving on the back burner to focus on the Holmes/Watson reunion and attendant emotional journey, and maybe that's okay; after all, we still got to enjoy a flashback version of Andrew Scott's manic, brilliant Moriarty. But it would be a shame if the show's long-awaited return didn't bring us at least one Big Bad to really sink our teeth into.

Who Flamed Doctor Watson?
The last shot of the episode ...

‘Sherlock’: Everything You Missed On ‘The Empty Hearse’

Big reveals, heartbreaking reunions and the kiss that launched a thousand fanfics: the BBC's "

Having faked his death at the end of Series 2, "The Empty Hearse" showed the consulting detective returning to London after two years spent dismantling the global criminal network of his dead archnemesis. But for Sherlock, hunting down bad guys around the world was a piece of cake compared to the challenge of making a decent apology to a furious John Watson, and of explaining last season's biggest mystery to an absolutely rabid fan base.

The Theory We Totally Fell For
How did Sherlock fake his death? At first, it looks like we're getting the answer even before the opening credits! It's a complicated scenario involving a bungee cord, a cameo appearance by English hypnotist Derren Brown and a shattered window through which Sherlock rebounds just in time to adjust his collar, ruffle his hair and plant a passionate smooch on Molly Hooper. Only c'mon, such action-star heroics are hardly Sherlock's style. And sure enough, the opening scene turns out to be a setup for one of the episode's funnier running jokes: the transformation of Philip Anderson, formerly a devout Holmes Hater, into an obsessed fanboy whose sole purpose in life is coming up with theories (like this one) to prove that Sherlock still lives.

An Element Of SURPRISE! ...Um, Surprise?
A warm, fuzzy reunion between Holmes and Watson was the number one thing on every fan's wishlist -- and, we now realize, the one thing we never had a snowball's chance in hell of getting. Instead, Sherlock's ...

The 9 Most Absurd Things Marnie Said On This Week’s ‘Girls’

There was plenty of fun to be had on this week's episode of "Girls," "She Said OK": there was punching, biting and karaoke galore to go around, and Hannah only participated in one of those three activities. However, the highlight of this week's episode was the sheer ridiculousness that is Marnie (Allison Williams) and her life crumbling around her like a prosecco-sodden macaron.

Her biggest problem nowadays is a video of her covering Edie Brickell & New Bohemians' "I Am What I Am" in a full '90s getup, overalls, whiny intonation and all. She am what she am, you know what she mean? Now-ex Charlie apparently posted the video online and Marnie, clinging to the ghost of her dignity, refuses to call him to ask him to take it down (and hilariously shrugs off Shoshanna's guess that Charlie's password is "I shaved my pubes into a neat box"). Throw this in a glass with Hannah's 25th birthday party, add a dash of Adam's emotionally manipulative sister and garnish with the creepiest pube-centric jump scare of all time and you've got yourself this week's episode.

In honor of Marnie's hot mess-ness, we've compiled the nine most absurd things she said in this week's episode — and two more that were said to her.

» "I don't have the password. It's my face. I'm in the video."

» "Should I send you, like, proof of identification or something so you know it's me? I can do that. I could like text you my driver's license or something."

» "Doesn't she? I keep telling her she ...

‘The Following’: Kevin Bacon’s 7 Things To Know About Season 2

Break out those masks, Followers! is back.

Fox's serial killer drama kicks off season two on January 19 immediately following the NFC championship, and Kevin Bacon is spilling plenty of juicy secrets about the episodes to come.

Bacon sat down with MTV News to talk new love interests (we already heard that Claire's fate is "not good"), Emma's next move and "one of the creepiest characters" in the history of television. Read on for more about season two, in Bacon's own words.

1. Loose Ends Will Be Tied Up
"Last season we ended with a brutal scene in my apartment, but what went on the air was actually a shortened version of that scene. So to get people back up to speed, we begin with the beginning of that scene and we extend it to see what the outcome was. It's kind of a chilling and surprising outcome. Then we jump ahead in time to a year later and it gives us an opportunity to freshen everything up."

2. Ryan Is A Changed Man, Until...
"He is healthier and sober and is running and has completely walked away from the case and from the FBI and from Joe Carroll. [Then] there's an attack on a subway and these killers come in wearing these Joe Carroll masks. The masks become kind of metaphorical, because people keep a certain mask in their exterior life that sometimes belies who they are on the inside. That's what you find out about Ryan: He is not actually as together as he seems."

3. Meet Ryan's New Love Interest
"He's ...

‘Looking’ Stars Tell You Exactly What You’re In For With HBO’s Latest Dramedy

HBO's latest half-hour dramedy premieres Sunday night (January 19), and even though you might not have heard much about "Looking," it's already garnered favorable comparisons to both "Girls" and "Sex and the City."

Delving into the lives of three gay men living in San Francisco as they juggle their professional and romantic lives, the series is the latest from Andrew Haigh. And given the critical acclaim for his 2011 breakout film "Weekend," the buzz for "Looking" was palpable. It features elements that made his debut film such a success: A loose, improv-like dialogue, a verite shooting style and an almost painfully naturalistic look into the lives of men who are all too relatable.

Since the show is brand new, we at MTV News decided to ask the cast themselves to break down everything you need to know before the show's premiere.

The Setting
Once you start watching the show, you quickly realize both how important the city of San Francisco is to the show but also just how beautifully filmed and portrayed it is. The series showcases the iconic landmarks that we expect to see, but also the smaller venues and cafes that only a native would recognize.

"We love San Francisco. In a lot of ways the show is really a love letter to the city. We wanted to nail it, really get it on a street level," said Frankie J Alvarez, who plays Agustin. "We wanted SF locals to see it and feel like they are seeing themselves."

The Characters
As we see throughout the series, there is a level of intimacy ...
