Love is a battlefield, and with just two days until Valentine’s Day, we at MTV News are pulling out the big guns in the form of Lip-Lock Knock-Out, a fight-til-the-death brawl to name the ultimate love song.
And the battle has just begun, as voting in round one is officially under way, with 32 songs in the running for the crown. Whether it’s a traditional love song like Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” a call to getting it on like “Bound 2” or a bitingly bitter break-up track like Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” chances are, your V-Day anthem is one of them. KatyCats, unite: “Unconditionally” is up against Demi Lovato’s “Made in the USA.” And in what is sure to be one violent battle, Directioners will face off against Beliebers in the “Kiss You” vs “All That Matters” bracket.
And for those of you in lust rather than love, “Blurred Lines,” “Get Lucky,” “Body Party” and “Do What U Want” all need your help to get it up to round two.
