More ‘Divergent’ Soundtrack Details Revealed: From Ellie Goulding To Zedd

Initiates: Please cease crying over the final book in the series for a special announcement (we know you’re still weeping — we are, too): German producer Zedd has joined Ellie Goulding on the upcoming film’s soundtrack. Now make like an Amity and smile.

According to a release, Grammy-nominated artist Zedd will be contributing a track titled “Find You,” featuring Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant, to the soundtrack, which is due out on March 11, 2014. That song will also appear in a commercial for Bud Light Platinum set to premiere during the Grammys this Sunday (January 26).

The jam references Bud’s new “Turn Up Your Night” campaign in its lyrics, according to Billboard: “Open up your sky / turn up your night / to the sweet of life / turn up your night.”

2013 was a pretty huge year for Zedd, what with the Grammy nomination for “Clarity,” touring and all, but 2014 is already looking pretty crammed for the musician.

“I want to take everything to the next level,” Zedd told MTV News when asked about his plans this year. He added that he intends to put out music that’s “more different, and more diverse.” We itching to see what direction his “Divergent” contribution takes Zedd in.

Zedd joins Ellie Goulding on the soundtrack, who told MTV News this week that she has contributed a new jam titled “Beating Heart,” as well as tunes from her sophomore album, Halcyon, to the film. The singer will also be featured on the film’s score, which was composed by Junkie XL and executive produced by Hans Zimmer.

“We started working on the film with songs from Ellie Goulding’s album Halcyon and soon found that the texture of her music and the tone of her voice matched perfectly with our film,” said director Neil Burger in a release. “In many ways Ellie has become the inner voice of our heroine Tris.”

We wonder whose inner voice Zedd will embody?

More artists will be announced soon.
