Robin Williams Still Has 4 Films On The Way

Robin Williams’ tragic and sudden death has left his family, friends and fans across the world stunned and in mourning. But even though he’s gone, Williams isn’t forgotten. In fact, he’s not even entirely gone — he still has movies coming your way.

Here’s the status of four Robin Williams movies that are still in the works:

1. “Merry Friggin’ Christmas”

Directed by Tristram Shapeero and written by Phil Johnson, “Merry Friggin’ Christmas” follows a man (played by Joel McHale) who has to salvage his family’s Christmas when he leaves all of his son’s gifts back at home. To rescue the holiday, he embarks on an eight-hour round-trip road-trip alongside his father, played by Williams. The comedy arrives on November 7.

“You were one of the very best that ever was,” McHale wrote on Twitter in response to Williams’ death. “You were one of my heroes.”

2. “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb”

Once again, Williams returns to the role of Teddy Roosevelt in the third entry in the “Night at the Museum” series, due out in theaters on December 19. The latest film in the series takes place in London, with Williams’ Roosevelt reuniting with Ben Stiller’s security guard Larry Daley for one last adventure.

“His impact on the world was so positive,” Stiller wrote on Twitter about Williams. “He did so much good for people. He made me and so many people laugh so hard for a very long time.”

3. “Absolutely Anything”

He won’t appear on screen in the film, but Williams’ voice will be heard throughout this science fiction comedy starring Simon Pegg as a school teacher granted with unlimited powers by a group of bored extraterrestrials. Williams supplies the voice of Dennis, Pegg’s trusty, talking dog sidekick.

“Robin Williams. A true great,” Pegg wrote of his late co-star on Twitter, linking out to one of Williams’ best performances — his Oscar-winning work in “Good Will Hunting,” opposite Matt Damon.

4. “Boulevard”

Williams stars in the Dito Montiel-directed drama as Nolan Mack, a devoted husband who comes to grips with his homosexuality late in his life, when he connects with a prostitute named Leo, played by Roberto Aguire. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April, and co-stars Bob Odenkirk and Kathy Baker. It’s expected to have a wider release in 2015.
