‘Sons Of Anarchy’: 7 Questions About Last Night’s Bloodbath

WARNING: Spoilers Ahead!

On the latest episode of “Sons of Anarchy,” titled “Poor Little Lambs,” the fit finally hit the shan. Jax Teller’s warpath against the Lin Triad blew back on Charming in a very literal way, with a grenade exploding right in the heart of town, and several of Jax and Nero’s associates at Diosa gunned down in cold blood. The Triad’s retaliation against SAMCRO makes it clear that Jax’s plan has backfired — and it’s backfired against all the wrong people.

Where does Jax go from here? And who is ultimately responsible for the bloodbath? Let’s try to answer those questions, and more:

1. Who Do We Blame?

Do we blame Gemma for killing Tara, lying about Lin, and starting this mess? Do we blame Jax for pursuing his vengeance so recklessly? Do we blame the other Sons for not reining Jax in enough? Do we blame Jury for ratting out the club? Do we blame the Triad themselves for pulling the trigger? Who do we blame for the deaths at Diosa and the bombing in Charming? It’s a simple question — with no simple answers.

2. Does Jax Have a Plan B?

FX

Because Plan A just blew up. Jax wanted slow-burn vengeance against the Triad — but now that his element of surprise is out the window, he’ll need to resort to new tactics. How will the blood on the streets of Charming impact Jax’s next move? Will he slow down? Will he ramp up? What’s he going to do now?

3. What Happens to Nero?

Before shooting up Diosa, Lin’s associate thanked Nero for all his hard work, and apologized for how the impending doom will affect his business. Apologies notwithstanding, Nero’s now knee-deep in a whole lot of blood, without any real explanations. Is it time for Jax to fess up about the Chinese’s “role” in killing Tara — and if so, how will Nero react to the news? If he was caught between two sides before, he’s really in a pickle now.

4. Will Gemma Kill Juice?

gemma

Granny’s got a gun, after all. Gemma packed a silenced pistol when she went back home to pack some things for Juice’s trip to “grandpa’s house.” But is “grandpa’s house” just a metaphor — like telling your kid that the cat is going to live on the “farm” from now on? Is Gemma about to kill Juice? Is this how his story ends?

5. Will Juice Kill Gemma?

Sure, he has a silenced pistol of his own, but there’s no way he pulls the trigger on Gemma. Not now, not a chance. Juice is expendable, but Gemma’s essential — and if anyone’s going to get the upper-hand on Grandma Teller, it’s her son.

6. What About The Cop?

jarry

The Charming Police Department took a massive hit this week, with a bullet to the head for Officer Cane, and several bullets to the back for Officer Eglee. Cane’s dead, but Eglee’s alive, if only barely. All she needs to do is survive long enough to tell someone that the Sons were at the scene of the crime. If she does that, is it lights out for SAMCRO?

7. Can Love Survive?

Maybe not for Jax, who already lost Tara, and now can’t even turn to Colette for comfort. But there’s love in the air for Tig and Venus, and Chibs and Jarry. Can these burgeoning relationships survive all the war and chaos that’s currently storming all over Charming? Is a happy ending possible for anyone at this point?
