It’s hard to ignore all of the trouble that Justin Bieber has been getting into lately, so who better to talk some sense into him than the Trouble Man himself?
T.I., the Biebs and two of the rapper’s sons posed for an Instagram pic on Sunday, and Tip tells MTV News that he’s been giving the singer advice.
“Justin has really been calling me just to help him navigate himself through, from where he is to where he has to be,” the rapper said in a telephone interview, where he spoke on his role in the Rick Ross and Jeezy peace accord and his acting role on Showtime’s “House of Lies.” “I told him I understand what it’s like, to not only have to grown-up as a man, but have to grow up in the public eye as a celebrity.”
Tip has seen his fair share of drama after he served time on felony gun charges following his infamous 2007 arrest. Just last month Bieber was arrested in Miami under suspicion of DUI and was later detained by police in Toronto in connection with an assault on a limo driver.
No matter what legal troubles he finds himself in, T.I. has one mission in mind: “Joining forces with whomever is on the side of Justin and giving him the best possible shot at success.”
The Atlanta rap star also opened up about his relationship with Bieber on Wednesday night’s episode of “The Arsenio Hall Show.” “When I speak to him, he listens with an open ear,” he said.
T.I. isn’t the only one in JB’s corner, actor/comedian Kevin Hart told Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday that he is down for the pop singer. “That’s my guy, man,” Hart told DeGeneres on her show. “Let me tell you something, I’m a friend. If I say I’m your friend, I’m your friend. Regardless of what it is you’re going through.”
