August Alsina Cancels London Performance For Medical Reasons

by 12 mins ago

By Andres Tardio

It seems August Alsina has not been cleared to travel overseas after his onstage collapse and resulting three-day coma back in September.

Doctors have advised the singer to avoid traveling to London, where he was set to perform Saturday (October 11) as part of Kevin Hart’s HartBeat Weekend.

Alsina let his fans know about the cancelation on Twitter Friday, offering an apology for having to change plans.

A rep for the “No Love” singer also commented on the cancellation, saying the artist was sad about not being being able to perform in the U.K.

“Due to the well-publicized fall from a stage in New York last month which caused August to be hospitalized for more than a week, his medical team has advised him that it would be unwise to travel such distance so soon into his recovery,” the spokesperson said in a statement via Billboard.

He continued: “August has asked us to convey his disappointment and sadness that he will be unable to perform. We all wish him the very best of luck and a speedy recovery.”

Kevin Hart also expressed disappointment over the cancelation, but he added that his “thoughts and well wishes go out to” Alsina. In a statement, the “Ride Along” star also praised August for understanding that “his health must take priority over anything else.”

Hart echoed these sentiments on Twitter.

Hart isn’t the only celebrity to wish Alsina well following the singer’s collapse and coma. Nicki Minaj ...

6 High School Football Players Taken Into Custody For Hazing Teammates

by 2 mins ago

Seven high school football players in Sayreville, New Jersey, have been charged with sexual assault after details emerged of a series of violent hazing incidents in the locker room. Police have detained six of the accused players.

Just days after Sayreville High School canceled its football season in the wake of bullying allegations, police came to the homes of the accused players to take them into custody. The boys who have been detained, who allegedly harassed and assaulted younger players on the team, are 15 to 17 years old.

A parent of one of the victims said that seniors on the Sayreville team routinely attack freshmen in violent sexual assaults involving anal penetration. So far, the coach of the football team has not been charged with any crime.

According to prosecutors, the assaults took place on four different days in late September. If convicted of aggravated sexual assault, the football players could spend up to five years in jail — even though they’re under 18.

“For something like this to happen is shocking,” said Wendy Rondeau, a local resident of Sayreville. “But we will get through this.”

Supposedly Dead Son Greets Parents At The Door

by 20 mins ago

Knock, knock. Trick or treat. It’s the son you thought was dead.

The Halloween scares came early for a couple in Anchorage when they ran into their son two hours after Alaska State Troopers had notified them that he’d been killed.

Karen And Jay Priest knew things weren’t right when police officers woke them up in the middle of the night on Thursday (October 9).

“He knew right away, the dread. It’s not good when a trooper knocks on your door at three o’clock in the morning,” Karen told the Associated Press.

The officers informed them that one of their sons, Justin Priest, had died in a car crash. The grieving couple drove into town to inform their other son, Cody, of the tragic news.

The family’s next stop was at the home of Justin’s girlfriend, Julia. Karen described the scene when she opened the door:

“It opens and right here is Justin. I don’t even see it but Jay is sobbing. It doesn’t compute to me. Then I see him. You want it to be true, but you go, ‘Am I hallucinating?’ Justin didn’t know what was going on.”

After “lots of hugging, lots of tears,” Justin called the police to inform them of their mistake, prompting the department to formally apologize for the misplaced anguish.

“I’m almost speechless for words,” Chief Bryce Johnson told the AP. “This shouldn’t happen.”

Apparently, the department had asked the troopers to call the Priests in order to determine if the victim of the automobile accident had, in fact, been ...

Iggy Azalea’s Run-In With The Paparazzi: The Rapper Tells Her Side Of The Story

by 1 min ago

By Andres Tardio

While Iggy Azalea raps about how she “can’t stand no haters” on “Fancy,” she apparently can’t stand a certain paparazzo, either.

The rapper has taken to Instagram to explain her side of the story regarding a recent run-in with a photographer, who she alleges had been following her throughhout the day, that was caught on tape.

The clip shows the man, Iggy and a woman accompanying her hurling insults at each other from across a supermaket parking lot. At one point, Iggy calls the man a “c–t” for taking pictures of her after repeatedly asking him not to, and the woman with her allegedly spits on the photog during the heated exchange.

Azalea also runs her shopping cart up to the him after she is heard saying: “I hope you have Ebola. I hope you die.” Ouch.

On Instagram, Iggy explains what we didn’t see in the video: “Judge me for spazzing if you like but you only saw the 30sec aftermath which was classy in comparison to what he said to us inside the grocery store where we discovered him lying on the floor after we had repeatedly & politely asked him to leave multiple locations during the course of the day.”

While she clearly doesn’t have any love for this particular photog, the “Black Widow” MC also clarifies her stance on the attention she receives from the paparazzi in a lengthy Instagram caption.

“I don’t hate paps,” she explains. “Just the really ...

These Clown Sighting Photos Will Give You Nightmares

by 28 mins ago

Halloween came early this year for the poor citizens of Bakersfield, California. That’s because there is some bizarre, terrifying, “American Horror Story”-level ish going down there that makes Twisty the Clown look like an amateur.

Welcome to — OH MY GOD.

Top that, Twisty.

twisty-gifGiphy

Bakersfield police have been receiving multiple reports recently about creepy clowns hanging out in public places. It all started when the Instagram account @wascoclown popped up last week, posting pics of a red-haired menace lurking about town, clutching balloons and generally being super-super-super-disturbing.

Wasco chills on a bench, appearing neither fast nor friendly.

Since the account popped up, police say they’ve responded to a bunch of calls complaining about clowns armed with weapons like bats and axes. However, they haven’t found any substantial proof of criminal activity, and they’re chalking it all up to pranks.

Wasco climbs a lamp post and ascends into our nightmares.

As for the Wasco Clown, local Bakersfield news station KGET scored an interview with the miscreant, who requested anonymity and explained the whole charade is part of a year-long photography project that his wife is doing.

Hmm… Sounds suspicious, but if Miley Cyrus can create entire installations out of junk that looks like it came straight from the Chuck E. Cheese’s prize counter, then maybe anyone really can do anything for the sake of art.

Wasco hangs out on a playground, scarring children for life.

Still, it looks like the Wasco Clown’s influence is already spreading ...

Rixton Throw A Roaring ’20s Rager In Their New ‘Wait On Me’ Video

by 24 mins ago

The boys of Rixton show off their hottest retro duds in their saucy new video for “Wait On Me,” the second single off of the Manchester band’s forthcoming debut album, Let the Road.

The MTV Artist To Watch alums play a house band entertaining a crime boss in the new clip, which features title screens à la some period-appropriate silent film — even though the sneakers and headphones sported by the band are distinctly 21st century-looking.

Lead singer Jake Roche finds himself in hot water when he leaves the stage to follow the head gangster’s wife upstairs for a secret rendezvous, only to be spotted by one of the crime lord’s fedora-wearing henchmen. That’s the first rule of entertaining for crime bosses, Jake: Don’t try to hook up with their significant others. Come on.

The band’s last video, “Me And My Broken Heart,” premiered in March. Rixton are expected to release Let the Road on February 27 of next year.

Bobby Shmurda Drops A New Song After ‘Hot’ TV Performance

by 12 mins ago

By Andres Tardio

Allow Bobby Shmurda to reintroduce himself!

Months after becoming a social-media sensation thanks to the hat toss seen ‘round the world and the Flash Shmob-ready Shmoney Dance, Bobby Shmurda has blessed us with a reintroduction of sorts on “Bobby Bitch.”

As you’d expect, the track is catchy, but the Dondre beat sounds a bit more menacing than the Jahlil Beats-produced “Hot N—a,” which became one of the hottest cuts of the year. The “Bobby Bitch” lyrics also carry a murderous theme, a holdover from bodies being caught “’bout a week ago.”

“I’m Bobby, b—-h,” he raps on the song’s hook. “I don’t know karate, b—-h / We droppin’ bodies, b—-h / They say shootin’ is my hobby, b—-h / And I’m a problem kid.”

Even though he’s got a new song out, the Brooklyn rapper’s still aware of the magic behind “Hot,” a song he performed with The Roots (who wore matching Shmoney Team T-shirts) on Friday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Not bad for his network TV debut.

Following the performance, Shmurda also posted a video of Jimmy Fallon turning the Shmoney Dance into the Shtruggle Dance.

Fallon, likely aware that he pulled off one of the worst renditions of the dance ever, promised Shmurda something: “I’ma learn how to do it.” Practice makes perfect, Jimmy. Maybe the “Tonight Show” host could have used some practice at last night’s Flash Shmob.

‘Doctor Who’: Foxes Reveals The Secrets From Inside The TARDIS

by 21 mins ago

If you were wondering why that brunette bombshell singer from the latest episode of “Doctor Who” looked a lot like the brunette bombshell singer that won a Grammy with Zedd for “Clarity,” it’s because it is the brunette bombshell singer that won a Grammy with Zedd for “Clarity.”

The British singer Foxes makes her small-screen acting debut on the October 11 episode of “Who,” a Companion-lite episode called “Mummy on the Orient Express,” and MTV News spoke to the singer to get the straight scoop on what that (obviously mind-blowing) experience was like:

MTV News: So first off, how did this experience come to pass? Were you a fan of the show growing up?

Foxes: It’s funny, I was, I was a bit of a geek. My grandma and my family growing up were fans of the show. It’s so iconic, it really is one of those family shows.

I was doing a gig in Liverpool. Behind me, it was a BBC conference, and there was some kind of “Doctor Who” event going on. I sneaked back after sound check, and I knew that my family were fans of the show, so I started talking to these guys. Little did I know they were the producers. I was like, “I love ‘Doctor Who!’ I’m doing a show, you should come watch it.”

Then they all came to watch the gig, and two weeks later, I got a call out of the blue. [Producers said] “Hey we watched the show, and we’d love you ...
