This Is Why You Don’t Put Huge Dogs And Weathermen Together On Live TV

by 6 mins ago

What happens when you ask a weatherman to give the forecast while wrangling a huge, riled-up dog? Something like this:

weather-dog-gifYouTube

Mike Sobel, a weatherman at Global News in Edmonton, Canada, found out the hard way that dogs + live TV = viral YouTube disaster. He was asked to hold an 18-month-old mastiff mix from a local humane society named Ripple on a leash while delivering the day’s forecast. After joking that Ripple “wants to play” (duh), the pup chewed and tugged on his leash before eventually breaking the whole thing off.

Sobel was left nervously laughing as he quipped, “We gotta move quickly through this here!” To his credit, he did make it through the entirety of his report, though he was left breathless and paw-printed by the end of it. But let’s be real… was anyone watching actually paying attention to the temperatures during that whole debacle? We think not.

Watch the whole hilarious incident go down right here:

And in case anyone was left wondering whether Sobel and Ripple would leave their differences in the dust and live happily ever after together, the good-sported weatherman had this to say:

Jhene Aiko Reveals The Reason She Didn’t Perform At Def Jam’s 30th Anniversary Concert

by 19 mins ago

By Andres Tardio

Jhene Aiko says there’s at least one thing she won’t rock with and that’s disrespect.

Aiko recently responded to a fan on Instagram who asked why she wasn’t at Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the Def Jam Recordings 30th Anniversary Concert event last week (October 16).

“Unfortunately me and my camp were told to ‘get the f— out’ by ‘workers’ while I was waiting to go on stage, …after this ‘worker’ (male) physically assaulted a member of my management (female) …we had to leave due to the disrespect and hostile environment. If there’s one thing I can’t rock with, it’s disrespect… if me and my band members were any of the rappers that were performing there, we would have never been talked to or treated in such a way. I’m sorry that I was unable to perform for you tonight… hope to see you soon!”

It’s unclear who the “workers” that Aiko references were working for.

We’ve reached out to Def Jam about the incident, but haven’t received a comment at press time.

Below is a screenshot of Aiko’s full comment, which appeared on this photo:

Taylor Swift Casually Brings Up The Time She Did Karaoke With Prince William

by 2 mins ago

During her recent appearance on the BBC’s “The Graham Norton Show,” Taylor Swift reminisced about the most British thing she’s ever done: sing karaoke with Prince William at Kensington Palace.

Sure, sure, we know it happened last winter, but let’s just reminisce along with her for a minute shall we?

In what she called her “first royal encounter,” Taylor was invited onstage by Jon Bon Jovi to sing “Livin’ on a Prayer” with Prince William during the Winter White Gala in London.

“I was very nervous for the whole thing,” she told Norton. Apparently, Prince William was, too: He freaked out to Taylor privately because he couldn’t remember any of the lyrics to Bon Jovi’s 1986 hit!

Luckily, the whole thing went off without a hitch. “We went up there and we sang along to ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ and I died,” Taylor said.

Watch a brief clip of the royal singalong below.

The Ebola virus, which was first identified in Africa in the 1970s, has been all over the news in America recently after two people in the States reportedly tested positive for the virus. But this didn’t stop T.I. from making a trip to Africa. Tanzania, where Tip is scheduled to perform, has reportedly not had a case of Ebola to worry about.

Other artists have addressed Ebola in different ways. Chris Brown said he believes Ebola is a “form of population control,” while Cam’ron has made custom Ebola masks. Meanwhile, Fabolous said cuffing season is on hold due to the Ebola scare.

Beyond planning a trip to Africa, T.I. has also been prepping for the upcoming release of his new album, Paperwork, which was executive produced by Pharrell and which is is scheduled to be released October 21. You can also stream Paperwork now.

Ocean Sex Gone Horribly Wrong Sent This Couple To The ER

by 24 mins ago

We’ve given you plenty of reasons to be terrified of the ocean, including but not limited to testicle-eating fish, shark-eating fish, and all of these nightmarish creatures.

But it turns out, there’s another petrifying oceanic threat you need to know about: Your sex life.

lionking-what-gifGiphy

Earlier this week, an Italian couple found out the hard way that ocean sex isn’t as dreamy as it sounds. The lovebirds were getting it on in the waves at a secluded beach off the Italian coast when they somehow got stuck together.

After flagging down a woman on the beach, a doctor was called in to fix the sticky situation. But the job was too tricky for him, so the tangled-up couple eventually had to be transported to the emergency room. They were finally pried apart after the woman received an injection that’s used to dilate a pregnant woman’s uterus.

This humiliating fail is a reminder to adventurous, sea-loving couples everywhere that sometimes it’s better to forgo Jack Dawson’s advice and actually let go.

Remember That Britney Spears And Madonna VMA Kiss? It Wasn’t As Spontaneous As It Looked

by 4 mins ago

When Britney Spears and Madonna shared a kiss in the middle of their performance at the 2003 VMAs, it seemed like it could have been a spontaneous display of affection. But Britney’s manager Larry Rudolph has shared the inside scoop on the grueling rehearsals behind that iconic moment.

“Once that kiss happened, the world exploded,” said Rudolph in a new video interview with Billboard.

He told the magazine all about Madonna’s unforgiving rehearsal schedule: “Madonna had been very, very, very rigid about the rehearsals. She was telling Britney and I every day, ‘Be here tomorrow at 10 o’clock.’ She would never address me by name, she would just say, ‘You, make sure Britney’s here tomorrow at 10 o’clock.’ And I would say, ‘okay.’ You don’t want to upset her.”

After the kiss happened and the media firestorm erupted, Madonna made sure to thank Rudolph personally for getting Britney to rehearsals on time. He explained how she confronted him in an elevator after the show and gave him a big kiss on the lips. “You see, Larry? It was all worth it,” she said.

Watch Rudolph’s interview below.

Madonna has been in the studio working on her new album, though unfortunately we don’t see another collab with Britney in the cards.

‘The Walking Dead’: Chad Coleman Explains Why Tyreese Is The Barack Obama Of The Group

by 15 mins ago

Tyreese (Chad Coleman) had a problem. A huge problem, even taking into account the fact that he lives in the zombie-infested world of “The Walking Dead.” The hammer-wielding badass, when season five began, had lost his nerve. Though it’s a world based on violence, the group was facing down cannibals (as well as the living dead), he was unable to kill anyone himself.

But by the end of the season premiere, Tyreese was driven to beat one of the denizens of the human-flesh hungry “sanctuary” of Terminus to death… Or at least, that’s what he told Carol (Melissa McBride) when the whole group reunited at the train tracks.

Except, that’s not exactly what happened.

When we talked to Coleman at the MTV studios in New York, the actor told us that through some creative editing, Tyreese’s choice may not be as clear as it seemed at the end of episode one… And coming up, things continue to be a murky grey for his character.

In fact, as we found out, Tyreese seems to be stuck clearly in the middle of the group of survivors, not quite on one side or another. When we asked Coleman what his role would going forward, he was at first hesitant to elaborate.

“I have to be careful, because they will chop off my head if I give anything away,” Coleman said laughing – and referencing the fact that his character does in fact get his head chopped off in the comics. Don’t worry, that event ...

Selenators, Rejoice: Selena Gomez Will keep Acting, But There’s A ‘New Chapter’ Coming In Music

by 12 mins ago

Additional reporting by Nicole Pajer

Selenators, get ready to see your girl on the big screen. Selena co-stars in “Rudderless” alongside Felicty Huffman, Billy Crudup and Anton Yelchin. She plays the grieving girlfriend of a boy killed in a school shooting in the film, which was a Sundance favorite.

If you’re a fan of her music, don’t worry: she’s working on maintaining a great balance between her acting and music careers. (She even sings the theme song for “Rudderless.”) After her “Stars Dance” tour was canceled in early 2014, fans have been waiting for Gomez’s next musical step.

As she told MTV News at a press day for “Rudderless,” the wait may not be much longer. When asked about juggling her film and music careers, she said she was “still figuring out all the kinks and whatnot.” But. But!

“In music, for me, there’s a whole new chapter coming that I can’t wait to share with people,” she said. “But as of now, I think I’m still just kind of figuring everything out, but I enjoy both [acting and music] too much to pick one.”

Any hints on what that next chapter might be?

“Nope, it’s a surprise,” she said, laughing. “You’ll see. Soon.”

This Woman Lied About Her Age To Get On Facebook… Because She’s 114

by 23 mins ago

Remember when you were younger and you had to lie about your age all the time so you could do ~cool~ things like buy a drink, snag an older date, or order from an infomercial? Turns out, the anxiety that comes with faking your age may follow you for the rest of your life… if you live to be old enough, that is.

When Plainview, Minnesota resident Anna Stoehr tried to sign up for Facebook recently, she came to a crossroads. Her birth year wasn’t listed as an option in the site’s drop down menu, so she did what any regular rebel would do: She lied.

But unlike hordes of preteens who are faced with that tricky situation, Stoehr wasn’t trying to age up… the 114-year-old had to age down. Stoehr was born in 1900, back when the U.S. had 45 stars on its flag and President William McKinley was the 25th president. Facebook, however, apparently doesn’t think amazing people like Stoehr exist, because the site capped the age limit to people born in 1905.

To her credit, Stoehr — who’s the seventh oldest person in the U.S. — got around the age block by claiming her birth year was 1914. Yep, she aged herself down to a pretty 99 years old (cue “Flawless” remix). She also took the time to pen an epic letter to Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, telling him, “I’m still here.”
