Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader are starring in a new movie together called “The Skeleton Twins” so naturally, they’ve been doing a lot of press for the film. But when they spoke with Daybreak’s Chris Parente things took a turn toward awkward.

While most reporters interviewing the two actors about the movie have done their homework—by you know, actually watching the movie—Parente’s on-camera interview went awry when it became apparent that the journalist knew almost nothing about the flick.

Over the course of the interview it seems like he needs a few details filled in here or there, but then finally he asks Kristen about a scene from a different movie which results in utter confusion for both her and Bill.

The fact that his question involved full-frontal nudity just adds to the awkwardness. Unfortunately for him, Parente was thinking of Kristen’s other film “Welcome To Me” but when she tells him that, he finally has to admit that he hasn’t seen the movie at all.

For anyone else who might not know, “The Skeleton Twins” is a drama that played at Sundance and the Toronto Film Festival to excellent reviews. Apparently, the two Saturday Night Live alumni can pull off serious as well as funny.

Luckily, all three of them laugh it off at the end of the interview. Watch the awkwardness unfold below:

In case you haven’t noticed, Hollywood has become completely entranced by film adaptations of popular Young Adult books as of late, because MONEY. From dystopian sci-fi worlds like “The Hunger Games” and “Divergent” to more weighted-in-reality fare like “The Fault in our Stars,” teens — and of course, adults who are teens at heart — come out in droves for a solid big screen remake of a beloved Young Adult book.

… Which is great and all, but we won’t be completely satisfied until Hollywood takes these seven YA treasures — some well-known, some virtually erased from the public’s consciousness due to the cruel passage of time — and turns them into movie gold:

How this 2000 book has not been adapted yet is beyond us. Its titular character is quirky, kind, and insanely lovable, as its narrator’s internal struggle between accepted his first love for who she is and succumbing to soul-sucking popularity has already resonated with millions of teens (and adults) worldwide.

2. “Time Windows” by Kathryn Reiss

This book, in which a girl’s dollhouse serves as a window into the terrifying lives of her new home’s previous occupants, features a well-structured mystery that would translate very nicely to the big screen.

Wilco has been a powerful force in the indie rock world for about twenty years now, so who better to spoof the current state of the music industry than frontman Jeff Tweedy?

For his latest project, Jeff has been working with his teenage son Spencer under the moniker Tweedy, and the latest track “Low Key” from their collaborative album “Sukierae” pokes fun at the way that musicians are no longer paid for what they create.

Jeff and Spencer are shown going door-to-door, encountering celebrity guests from Conan O’Brien to Chance the Rapper on the way and encountering plenty of rejection as they nearly everything they can think of to convince people to buy their music.

You may know him better as private school girl Ja’mie, Jonah from Tonga, or maybe even Mr G, but any way you slice it, Australian comedian Chris Lilley is an absolute legend.

So, naturally, when you meet such a profound and lauded comedic genius you resort to giving him the stink face. At least if you’re Ed Sheeran, that’s what you do.

“This man ruined my high school years,” Teddy teased in a selfie with the actor.

Lilley recently returned to the screen in a controversial “Summer Heights High” spinoff series titled “Jonah From Tonga” that’s found him in hot water with some critics.

We’re pretty sure it’s all love between Ed and Chris though, despite the stinkface.

Austin Mahone‘s latest studio guests have us anticipating his next release with a completely new sense of wonder.

First, he posted an adorable Instagram with actress Hailee Steinfeld captioned “We got hiiiiiiits” and sparked our daydream that Hailee can not only act her heart out—like she did in “True Grit”—but also, perhaps sing?

Then tonight, (September 26), the singer posted a picture of himself with Mississippi rap duo Rae Sremmurd which is even more intriguing than the Hailee cameo.

First of all, this IRL brother duo are actually musicians too, and second, both Mahone and Rae Sremmurd recently appeared on Billboard‘s 21 under 21 list. Maybe that’s how they got connected?

He captioned the latest pic: “In the studio working with @raesremmurd these dudes have crazy ideas!” I’d give a lot to hear what the two might have been collaborating on, especially considering their song “No Flex Zone” took over the summer airwaves:

Anyway, for those who don’t realize how cool it would be if Austin teamed up with the brothers Rae, it’d be kind of like that time that Justin Bieber and Migos had a song together—AKA it would rule.

Outkast really does have some ride-or-die fans.

To celebrate their beloved ATLiens’ last stop on their reunion tour this weekend at “ATLast,” a three-day festival at Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park, a local cyclist group put their own spin on critical mass with the “Outkast Routecast” project.

For the tribute ride, 40 Atlantans wrote the duo’s name on the city street schematic using a special GPS cellphone app. The Spindle bike shop shared about the homage on their page:

“In honor of Outkast’s ATLast show in Atlanta, The Spindle bike shop brought together 40 local cyclists on June 6, 2014, for a one-of-a-kind ride. Using a phone app that traced their route onto a map, the group wrote the name of the ATLiens using their bikes and the streets of Atlanta. It is displays like this that prove Outkast fans are the best in the world.”

The rappers born Andre Benjamin and Antwan Patton will perform for their hometown fans in the very same landmark park that housed the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.

The legendary rap group, who dropped their iconic debut LP Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik 20 years ago, traveled the world, brokecountless Billboard records, and came back home to stand on the awards podium to take their last bow.

It goes without saying that drugs are bad—especially for kids.

But what about candy made to look like drugs?

Reginald Chavez Elementary School in Albuquerque, New Mexico drew a line in the sand on the matter when it suspended two of its students on Wednesday (September 24) for bringing in rock candy that resembled the Blue Sky crystal meth made famous by the award-winning TV series that was filmed locally, “Breaking Bad.”

According to the Huffington Post, brothers Gabriel Valdez, 10, and Christian Valdez, 9, reportedly passed out the candy to fellow classmates during recess and, according to the executive director of communications of Albuquerque Public Schools, told the kids, “Now you’re eating meth.”

The siblings were reprimanded for “disruption of the educational process and inappropriate and unacceptable behavior” and suspended for two and a half days. In the discipline forms, one of the offenses listed was “look-alike drugs and role playing.”

“Handing out candy that looks like meth isn’t something we’re going to affirm,” Armenta told the Huffington Post. “This is not behavior we want modeled in our schools.”

The boys’ mother, Virginia Valdez, thinks the whole thing was “blown out of proportion.”

“If candy is brought in the classroom, it can be a distraction,” Valdez told KOAT News. “But this was actually going on out on the playground.”

Virginia has since removed her sons, who don’t really understand the critically-acclaimed series, from the school and plans to enroll them in private school.

“It’s not really drugs — it’s candy,” she added. “It’s unfair.”

George Clooney and fiance Amal Alamuddin arrived in Venice, Italy to confirm the swill of rumors predicting a weekend wedding. The lovebirds taxied over to the Hotel Cipriani on Venice’s Giudecca Island via the most gorgeous canal ride your imagination could dream up.

And the boat that journeyed the newlyweds-to-be? Well, obviously it was named “Amore.”

Wiz Khalifa has yet to make an official statement on his pending divorce from estranged wife Amber Rose, but on Friday (September 25), he let his lawyers do the talking for him.

The rapper born Cameron Jibril Thomaz filed a countersuit to Amber’s divorce petition in a Los Angeles court asking for joint physical custody and visitation rights of their 2-year old son, Sebastian “The Bash” Taylor Thomaz.

E! News reports that the Blacc Hollywood MC cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the legal dissolution of their union.

According to a source close to the couple, Wiz and his wife—who recently dedicated a special twerk for his first #1 album— “have had marital issues for some time now.”

“They cared very much for each other but it all happened so fast between having the baby and getting married,” the source told E! News. “They really did not know each other as much as they should have before getting married. They both have not had the best pasts with relationships and when they met each other it was more lust at first sight than love at first sight.”

The couple has a prenuptial agreement in place that will provide Amber a one-time payment north of $1 million and spousal support of more than $5,000 per month.

World, it’s time you meet Mary Kate Smith, a Mississippi student-athlete who’s not only the reigning Homecoming Queen, but the starting kicker for her high school football team.

Yup, you read that correctly. Homecoming Queen. Starting Kicker.

The 17-year-old blonde bombshell is entering her senior year at Hattiesburg’s South Jones High School, where she’s been a star of the soccer team up until now. Mark Kate’s tremendous kicking power put her on the football coach’s radar and she was invited to the team’s tryouts.

“When she came out, she was a better kicker period,” coach Cory Reynolds told NBC. “She very much earned it.”

“It’s been crazy. It’s almost like a mental game when you’re out there,” Smith told NBC. “It’s been a challenge, but it’s been good.”

Mary Kate has received nothing but encouragement from the community and teammates alike, inspiring other little girls as the town hero.

So will this rockstar take her newfound love of football to the big leagues? Nope, instead Mary Kate will be heading back to her life-long soccer roots next fall at the University of Southern Mississippi, flying high as a USM Golden Eagle.
