Between Demi Lovato’s new skincare collection and colorful hair extensions line, it’s pretty obvious our girl wants to make her mark in the beauty world. But today, she added yet another brand to her ever-growing list of beauty clientele: as the new face of N.Y.C. New York Color.

Demi is the first-ever Global Brand Ambassador for the drugstore cosmetics company and will be featured in their campaigns starting in 2015. Johanna Businelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Color Cosmetics, said, “Demi’s youthful, modern sensibility, audacious style and wide-reaching appeal make her the perfect choice to represent N.Y.C. New York Color on a global scale. Her impressive social influence will also help us to further engage with a new generation and Demi’s fans.”

Judging by the first photo from the campaign, it looks like our girl will be bringing her signature cool-yet-approachable look to the brand. Demi said, “I’m really excited to be partnering with N.Y.C. New York Color. Their products make playing with different looks and trends fun, easy and affordable by all!”

Those of you diligently planning for the weekend ahead: Rest easy, your iPhone will no longer be incapacitated by its new iOS. Apple has released yet another fix to iOS 8 that should have everything purring along in working order.

After Apple’s big product launch the other week — Apple Watches! New iPhones! — the company released an update to the new iOS in order to rectify a few bugs. That update, iOS 8.0.1, caused more problems than it solved, however, according to Mashable. For some users, the fix killed cell signals and disabled the Touch ID feature. Sure, no one really calls anyone anymore (under the age of 30), but the glitch was definitely an egregious one.

Thursday evening, however, Apple released another update, iOS 8.0.2, that seems to have fixed these problems. I, myself, had only downloaded iOS 8, but when I installed the update my phone began working more smoothly immediately — most notably, notifications had been rather erratic with the new iOS, but now they appear to be in working order.

This isn’t the only hurdle Apple has to overcome, however. There’s also “Bendgate,” which basically constitutes some iPhone 6 Plus owners discovering that their phones will bend if kept in their pockets — you know, when said users sit down. Are you ready for 2015? Well, it’s time to get ready because you can now officially buy Beyonce’s 2015 calendar. That’s right—Bey wants you to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. Once you know what calendar to get for your friends for the upcoming year everything else falls in place, right?

When Beyonce announced her first-ever calendar last year, we didn’t even know what she had in store for 2014. We didn’t. Even. Know.

Based on the images Bey has shared so far, the 2015 calendar pays tribute to the looks from her eponymously titled visual album—the cover, for example, features a still from “Rocket.” That’s what I look like when I wake up on a random Saturday too, JK.

While half of the images are blacked out in this initial teaser—keep ‘em guessing, eh, Bey?—it seems safe to assume the bulk of the ~lewks~ are also from the visual album. It was visual for a reason, YA KNOW?

From the slivers on the back of the calendar, April seems to be a “Yonce” month, June for “Partition,” and December is “Jealous.” Jealous of warmer weather, amirite?

There are, obviously, still six images which remain to be seen, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a month dedicated to Joan Smalls licking Bey’s face. Maybe February? Seems fitting, right?

It’s hard enough to master “word sneak” — Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” game of forcing guests to sneak random code words into the conversation — when the topics don’t include a songbird with a non-nonsensical, semi-dirty name, so we understand completely why Chris Pratt couldn’t keep it together when “titmouse” showed up on the roster. (It isn’t a tit or a mouse!)

Pratt, of course, was in town to promote his September 27 hosting gig on the “Saturday Night Live” premiere, and if his ability to commit to silly improvised material on “Fallon” is any indicator, it should be a really great show. Also, yes, Norm from “Cheers” really could have benefited from using a NordicTrack:

The global population is expected to reach a whopping 11 billion people by the end of this century. That’s a whole lot of mouths to feed. In this video, The Economist explains why eating bugs is a cheap and environmentally friendly way to increase the world’s food supply. Take a look for yourself:

So to break that down for you, here’s why eating bugs could save the world someday:

Bugs are healthier than meat is.
Edible insects contain essential vitamins like protein, calcium, fiber, iron, and zinc. A serving of grasshoppers has the same amount of protein as a serving of steak does — but the grasshoppers have way less fat and calories.

Raising bugs is inexpensive.
Harvesting insects requires very little technology and requires less land and water than raising livestock does. This means countries that can’t afford to raise livestock will be able to raise bugs — and, in the process, create more job opportunities for their residents.

Eating bugs is good for the environment.
Insects are a more sustainable source of food than livestock is. Livestock production produces a ton of greenhouse gas emissions — even more than driving cars does! — and this harms the environment. Raising insects generates far fewer emissions.

Sounds pretty convincing, right? The only downside is that, well, bugs are gross. Nobody wants to be like that kid in their kindergarten class who always ate bugs during recess.

Growing up and settling into adulthood is a part of life, but Beau Mirchoff hopes his “Awkward” character Matty McKibben goes kicking and screaming.

In an interview with Wetpaint yesterday, the actor spelled out his relief that Matty won’t soon be the father of Eva’s child (you know…since she’s not actually having one). And his primary reason? No one would take a parent with his character’s nickname seriously.

“He would’ve had to be called Matthew,” Beau lamented. “You can’t be a father and be called Matty. It just doesn’t work.” Guess I’ll try not to take offense at the implication, pal…

And though Matty eviscerated Beth Whitson’s character Eva on the season premiere, essentially booking her a one-way ticket out of Palos Hills, the actress admitted she was happy Matty finally stood his ground.

“Everyone was always so protective of him — and for a good reason — but I think he wants to have his own voice,” Beth explained. “So I think it’s great he finally stuck up for himself, especially because Eva can be a bit of a bully sometimes.”

Both actors confessed it looks unlikely that Eva will return, but urged viewers to never say never.
