Palos Hills High School graduation is just a few short months away, but with college rejection letters, dating disasters and an unfortunate tumble off a stripper pole on the agenda for Jenna Hamilton, the blogger might consider hiding beneath her covers and waiting for the occasion to pass.

In the upcoming batch of “Awkward” episodes, which kick off on Tuesday, September 23 at 10/9c, J-Town, Tamara and their pals certainly won’t have it easy as Grade 12 comes to a close. Matty, who’s already struggling with the possibility that he might soon become a father, will be forced to — once again — DTR with Jenna, who’s perpetually confused by the state of the on-and-off couple’s relationship. Still, with a male-objectifying “dude database” taking the PHHS campus by storm, those might be the least of Matty’s worries.

Oh, and the reliably terrible Sadie Saxton will continue to share nasty tell-offs ’round the clock. What would we do without you and your penchant for scorn, Queen Bee?

Fifth Harmony had no speech planned when they went up to accept the award for Artist to Watch at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday — but at least Beyoncé knew they won an award.

In our backstage interview with 5H, Dinah explained how excited she was that Bey was in the audience: “What freaked me out is that Beyoncé’s people, they were all congratulating us, her crew. And I was like, ‘So Beyoncé knows that we got an award too.’ ”

Blue Ivy saw the girls, too, and Dinah claims she locked eyes with the 2-year-old tot.

Leave it to Nicki Minaj to pull off five equally impressive costume changes within the span of a few hours, basically in the amount of time it takes me to talk myself into changing out of my pajamas. Though, OK, maybe “pulling off” is pushing it, since she technically didn’t succeed with one of those quick changes.

Winter hasn’t exactly shown up on “Game of Thrones” yet — which is insane, because the Starks literally will not stop talking about it — but this year, the frigid cold certainly came early for Lena Headey, Kit Harrington, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

In a rare showing of Stark-Lannister solidarity, Cersei, Jon Snow, and Jaime adorably took on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge together, one by one. Headey was nominated by Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal), so it’s great to know that the Prince of Dorne was finally able to get his revenge on the Lannisters from beyond the grave:

If you try to sell me on pretty much anything related to Martin Scorsese or HBO, I’m going to be at least a little interested. Put them together, I’m all-ears. If it happens to be for a television series based on “Shutter Island,” now I have tears in my eyes.

Well, Deadline is reporting that the dream I didn’t even know I had has come true. HBO and Paramount’s new television division is teaming up with Scorsese and Dennis Lehane, who wrote the original “Shutter Island” novel, for a prequel series tentatively called “Ashecliffe.”

It sounds like all of the deals are still in the works, but I imagine that all of the parties involved would want to make this show a reality. According to the Deadline story, Scorsese is game to direct the pilot, which Lehane will write, after the legendary filmmaker finishes work on “Silence,” starring Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver.

There’s definitely some mystery to mine from the 2010 movie, despite that story being surprisingly intimate and small in scope. The report says that “Ashcliffe” would take place around the turn of the century at the asylum Leonardo DiCaprio visits in the film.

Fingers crossed that this all comes together. In the mean time, I’m going to go remind myself how great “Shutter Island” is.

After weeks of people joining together on the streets to mourn for Michael Brown, they did so in a more formal setting on Monday (August 25), at the funeral for the 18-year-old.

Held at the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, the service brought thousands together to pay their respects to Brown, the unarmed teen who was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9.

Numerous civil rights leaders were in attendance, including Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton, with the latter delivering the eulogy for Brown. Others at the service included Spike Lee, Martin Luther King III, Tom Joyner, and the families of Emmett Till, Trayvon Martin and Jordan Davis. In addition, a handful of congresspeople were in the congregation, as well as Broderick Johnson, White House Cabinet Secretary and chair of the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative.

“The policies of this country cannot go unchallenged,” Sharpton said during his eulogy, which mixed moments of anger and poignancy with those of laughter and calls to action. “We cannot have aggressive policing of low level crimes and can’t deal with the higher level.”

As part of his honoring of Brown, he also brought up the death of Eric Garner, who died after being placed in a chokehold by police in New York City in July. “Strange ...

The entertainment world continues to mourn the loss of comedian Robin Williams, found dead in his home earlier this month. Tonight, at the 66th Primetime Emmys, Billy Crystal will present a tribute to the late actor.

Crystal and Williams have a friendship spanning more than three decades, from when they met as up-and-coming television actors in the late ’70s. Crystal is the perfect, heart-wrenching choice to memorialize Williams, and we’re already mentally preparing for it.

Though his later career and best known work was in film, Williams got his start in TV. Here are a few small-screen projects we wouldn’t be surprised to see pop up in tonight’s toast to Williams.

Amazingly, “The Wizard of Oz” turns 75 today (August 25), and even three-quarters of a century later, it’s endured to become a classic among generations of movie-goers, kids and adults alike.

So for the movie’s 75th anniversary, we decided to do something a little different to honor it: we’ve boiled it down to a 7.5 second video that sums up the real theme of the movie faster than you can click your heels three times (spoiler: it involved Dorothy screaming a lot).

Energy high and outfit covered in the kind of jewels we bedazzled onto our jean jackets back in the day, her demeanor seriously forecasted what was to come later that night. I mean, nothing could have really prepared us, but we were duly warned.

On Sunday night, Miley turned up in simple (by-her-standards) black leather, preferring to put the focus on her words and her music instead of her antics.
