Until today, you may have known Olivia Benson as the troubled hardass with a softside and, arguably, as the backbone of “Law & Order: SVU.” But now, Olivia Benson is a cat.

Taylor Swift’s cat, to be precise.

The “I Knew You Were Trouble” added another furry creature to her family on Wednesday (June 18), sharing the photo of her and the white ragdoll kitten on Instgram.

Not coincidentally, Swift’s other cat, Meredith, is named after another one of television’s fierce females: Ellen Pomeo’s Meredith Grey from “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Taylor Swift all under one roof? Girl. Power.

Joell Ortiz hasn’t released a solo album since 2011′s Free Agent. He’s put out some freestyles as well as work with Slaughterhouse in the time since, but he knows that his fans are both itching for more solo work and wondering when they’d hear it.

On “House Slippers,” the lead release from his upcoming album of the same name, the Brooklyn native begins to fill in the blanks.

“For those who’ve been wondering what’s going on with Joell Ortiz, it’s a lot, man,” he says to open song, which he recently dropped along with a new video.

Joell then uses the next three minutes of !llmind’s beat to get deeply personal, opening up about struggles and successes of the last few years.

In one of a number of quotables, One Quarter of the Slaughter reflects on battling weight issues and the non-music side of his profession as a musician: “Shaking the hand that’s feeding you, but you hate it/ Disappointed in meetings cause of your weight/ Just imagine this man with your career in his hands/ Giving a f–k about your fans/ He just looking at that black and white/ Seeing you ain’t sell too well/ You trying to tell him that you was on an indie that wasn’t acting right.”

Things have turned though. “Feels like I finally found my house slippers,” he raps to both open and close the track, suggesting a level of comfort with where he’s at — something visually reflected in his lounging at home throughout the ...

At the end of the song “War,” released in January, Common explains the concept behind his upcoming 10th solo album, Nobody’s Smiling.

“Nobody’s Smiling was really a thought that came about because of all the violence that was going on in Chicago,” he said. “It happens in Chicago, but it’s happening around the world in many ways. It may not be to the numbers that’s happening in Chicago, but it’s happening in the inner-cities all over America. It’s really a call to action.”

That call to action continued on Wednesday, when Com released the video for his latest single, “Kingdom.”

The song features Vince Staples, but neither he nor the veteran MC appear in the nearly eight-minute Hype Williams-directed clip. Instead, we follow a young man — whose face is blurred throughout — on his trail from desperation to crime to spoils to arrest.

It plays out like a cautionary tale, which it seems like will be the case for much of Com’s upcoming album, due out on Def Jam on July 22.

Ten years after Marc Anthony secretly married Jennifer Lopez in her Beverly Hills home, the ex-powerhouse couple are now divorced.

According to court records, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge John Sandoz officially dissolved the singers’ marital union Monday (June 16), while awarding the pair joint legal custody of their 6-year old twins, Max and Emme.

The 3.0 singer will have his son and daughter for seven days a month, with the “I Luh Ya Papi” chanteuse caring for the kids the rest of the month. The children will also be shielded from paparazzi and reporters.

“Exposing the children to public spectacle and failing to shield the children from aggressive news organizations, photographers, etc. is not the children’s best interest,” decreed the judge.

While Anthony filed for divorce in April 2012, the pair have been separated since July 2011.

The marriage was Lopez’s third and Anthony’s second.

Team USA soccer captain Clint Dempsey isn’t done making headlines. After scoring a goal 32 seconds into Monday’s match versus Ghana, he’s ready to take his talents off the field and into the studio.

On Wednesday (June 18), the Wall Street Journal reported that Dempsey will drop his debut rap album under the moniker Deuce. The album is titled The Redux and was recorded in two weeks during the off-season. The LP will be released with Dempsey’s rapping partner XO in the coming months.

The album’s first single, “It’s Poppin’,” finds the sports star spitting about his come up, but this isn’t first first try at the mic. In 2007 dropped a video for his song “Don’t Tread” and has always been a avid rap fan — particularly of the iconic duo UGK.

“‘One Day’…is another one I can identify with, because I lost my sister at a young age; she was 16, when I was 12,” the 31-year-old said of the popular UGK track in a recent interview. “After she passed away, going back and listening to that CD, you can connect with it a little bit more and it has more meaning to you.”

Cue the “Pomp and Circumstance,” because we have a newly minted graduate to applaud: Jenelle Evans‘ son Jace!

The “Teen Mom 2” cast member’s four-year-old celebrated his pre-school completion in a ceremony on Friday, and naturally, his proud mom documented the memorable milestone with a handful of photographs on Facebook. We can’t help but marvel at Jace’s growth — it seems like only yesterday he was a newborn, and now he’s collecting a diploma. We are officially verklempt.

Jace couldn’t look any happier — or cuter — in his bright blue cap and gown. The man of the hour posed with his grinning mama (who is due to give birth to another boy at the end of this month) and beaming grandma Barbara. Jenelle also captured a candid moment of her boyfriend Nathan Griffith sharing a bear hug with Jace. Although we can’t see the youngster’s expression, Nathan’s face sure says it all: LOVE.

“Time for the big kid school now!” Jenelle wrote along with the heartwarming snapshots. And we’re certain Jace will take his new class by storm!

Before Kindergarten in the fall, Jace will be busy with summer vacation, which no doubt will include beach trips and visits to the pool. And then there’s also that new role he’ll be playing: big brother to Baby Kaiser.

After last night’s finale, there’s no question that this season of “Game of Thrones” was the biggest yet. With huge plot twists, deaths galore, enormous intrigues, and giant… um, giants, the fourth season of the HBO fantasy delivered beyond viewers’ wildest dreams.

But after saying goodbye to “Game of Thrones” until its return sometime in 2015, we’re also left with so many burning questions to ponder in its absence. Things like…

1. Can Brienne and Podrick still be friends?

The lady warrior and her loyal squire were so close to forging the sort of reluctant odd-couple friendship that would have been a joy to watch — until Podrick managed to lose both their horses and Arya Stark within a single five-minute period. (Podrick! You’ve got some ‘splaining to do!)

Brienne had previously showed signs of softening toward her doofy companion, but being good natured about a screw-up of this magnitude might take more generosity than she can manage, especially considering how much she must be hurting from getting kicked in the V by the Hound.
