Austin Mahone Still Wants A Drake Collaboration… ‘Real Bad’

Austin Mahone wants his fans to be prepared for big things to happen by mid-2014. That's when the singer hopes to finally release his debut album.

"The album, I'm still working on. I worked with so many amazing people and I have so many incredible songs, I want to choose them wisely," he told MTV News on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards this past Sunday. "I don't want to put the album out and be like 'Man, I should have done this so much differently.' I just want to make sure it's perfect when I put it out."

Mahone recently dropped his new single and has been working on the release in collaboration with Cash Money Records. Mahone is signed to Chase Records, which partnered up with Cash Money Records; both labels are affiliated with Universal Republic.

Austin Mahone Goes Geek Chic For 'The Millers': See It Here!

"Those guys [at Cash Money] are very professional. They know exactly what they want. They're great and I'm very honored to be signed with them as well," he said. "I deal with all of them. I deal with [record executives] Slim, Baby, Vernon [J. Brown]; all those guys. They're great; they know what they're doing."

And, yes, he's still hoping to hit the studio with Drizzy.

"Still in the works; I want to collaborate with Drake real bad," he teased. "So hopefully I'll get that going this year.

Miley Grinds On Madonna, Madonna Grinds Back: Go Behind Their ‘Unplugged’ Party

Oh. Your favorite star didn't kick off her by running onto a hoedown-themed set — decked in a blonde bob wig, gingham bodysuit, and carrying a purse — and back that ass up into a two-man horse? That's cute, because Miley Cyrus did.

The biggest, best and country-est party in the U.S.A. on Tuesday night (January 28) was inside studio 15 of the Sunset Gower Studios, where Miley barnstormed her "Unplugged" set, complete with Amazon Ashley, Little Britney, a full strings section, a vintage Leslie, a Hammond organ, a two-man twerking horse, oh yeah, and Madonna. And if you weren't there, worry not: it all airs Wednesday night (January 28) at 9 p.m. E.T./P.T. on MTV.

If Miley Cyrus' "Unplugged" performance had a lyrical blueprint, it'd be that of her second song of the set, "Do My Thang": "I'm a Southern Belle crazier than hell, getting wild up in here, getting live up in here burning up, up in here, turnt up, up in here." Miley got live, got down, but she also got really real and really raw. "I can't believe you let me of all people do an 'Unplugged,' " she said. "That was brave." But how could we not?

And a few thoughts on bravery: Beyond the feel-good, Salt 'N Pepa-referencing party jams like "Bangerz" and #Getitright" — which saw a truly turnt up Miley dancing in a bikini top, grabbing her crotch and b-boy posing, her omnipresent tongue waving in between bars, and adorable stage banter ("MTV's paying me today in ones so we can ...

It’s True, Y’all: See Miley Cyrus And Madonna Join Forces Onstage For ‘Unplugged’

Get ready, y'all: Music history will be made on Wednesday night when Miley Cyrus swings open the gates of her country western-themed, Grand Ole Opry-meets-Saddle Ranch performance and ropes in one of the biggest stars on Earth into the ring.

We're, of course, talking about the one and only Madonna. Fresh off an unforgettable Grammy appearance, Madonna will suit back up and two-step her way into Miley Cyrus' "Unplugged" jamboree, which airs Wednesday, January 29 at 9 p.m. E.T./P.T. on MTV. That's right, the Material Girl will join the Tennessee-bred VMAs Best Artist of 2013 for an iconic, unfiltered Nashville salute that blends Miley's unique, unfiltered brand of twang-tinged hip-hop party pop and breathtaking ballads with her true Southern roots.

Before Miley kicks off her Bangerz tour February 14 in Vancouver, B.C., the Queen of pop and pop's reigning princess are pulling on their cowgirl boots, tipping their Stetsons, and hopping into the saddle to join forces for a must-see mash-up that brilliantly blends one of Miley's favorite Madonna songs (a song which, by the way, she told us during an interview on her L.A. "Unplugged" set is one of her favorite songs to karaoke to) with one of Miley's most unforgettable tracks.

Grab your Bubba teeth, your 10-gallon hat and the biggest stash of sequins you're legally allowed to purchase at once: you're gonna need them when two legendary lady rebels known for their bring down the house (or, in this case, the barn) with their iconic banger of a collaboration.

4 Comic Book Storylines We Want To See In ‘Captain America 3’

The Cap is back. And soon he'll be back...again.

Recent reports suggest that Marvel loves so much that they have already greenlit "Captain America 3," and will be bringing back "Winter Soldier" directors Anthony and Joe Russo for the third film.

Just in case Marvel needs any ideas for the sequel, here are four plots from the comics that would make great movies for the Cap'n.

Captain America Runs For President

"Winter Soldier" looks like it won't shy away from taking on some of the bigger political issues we're facing today, as Steve Rogers has to confront some of his government's more unethical practice that are for "the greater good." What better way to follow that up than by having him run for President?

That's exactly what the character considered in the 1980s storyline "War & Remembrance," and while some other aspects of the run are a bit surreal (one of the baddies is the Captain's old foe Baron Blood who, as his name suggests, is a vampire), elements of this storyline could function as a great commentary on our world today while retaining the fun of the comics.

Civil War
This is a storyline that's big enough for an "Avengers" movie, but, assuming that Marvel goes ahead with the "Infinity Gauntlet" storyline (as it's suggested they might), we figured it might be good for the Russo brothers to look at Marvel's "Civil War" comics for the followup. When the government decides that all superheroes have to register with them, Steve Rogers decides that they've gone too far, and ...

Is Lucy Hale The ‘Ultimate A’? ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Weighs In

Since the beginning, "Pretty Little Liars" fans have been trying to figure out just who "A" (an anonymous character blackmailing the show's main characters) is. While there are countless possibilities, one of the more popular theories amongst "PLL" buffs points at one of the show's leads: Aria Montgomery.

And even though Lucy Hale, who stars as Aria on the show, isn't convinced she's playing the teen drama's antagonist, she's not exactly ruling it out either.

"There's a whole following of, like, underground following that thinks that Aria could be the ultimate 'A.' And they have, like, some pretty good theories," she told MTV News when promoting her new single, "I'm always constantly impressed. I mean, mainly because Aria is kind of always missing in action, but I mean her excuse is that she's always with Ezra. You know? But if you notice in a lot of the episodes there will be the three girls and it's like, 'Well, where the heck is Aria? Like, where is she?' Yeah there are a lot of people that think that."

So does Lucy worry that potentially acting as the series' mystery villain could tarnish her real-life reputation?

"I mean our show is pretty commercially popular so I think it would be engrained in people's minds for a long time," she said. "But our show has made it kind of popular to be the bad guy. It's kind of the cool thing. Like, Keegan [Allen who plays Toby] and I think Ian [Harding], who plays Ezra, is even more popular now, which I ...

Ellie Goulding And Nate Ruess Were Almost ‘Too Shy’ To Make ‘Goodness Gracious’

Here's a tip for any struggling songwriters out there: If you wanna get your work to Ellie Goulding, the best thing to do is avoid her in a hotel lobby, then sheepishly email her about it hours later.

Hey, it worked for Fun. frontman Nate Ruess.

After all, he co-wrote Goulding's new single, — the latest in string of collaborations that includes the likes of Pink (on the Grammy-nominated ) Eminem and Ke$ha — and all it took was a non-meeting in an Australian hotel to get the ball rolling.

"We did a tour together in Australia, the Future of Music Tour, myself, Fun., Azealia Banks and a few other artists," Goulding told MTV News. "He walked past me in a hotel lobby, and then emailed me and was like 'I just walked past you and was too shy to say hello.' And I was like 'I was too shy too!'

"And then we hung out and instantly hit it off. I think he's an amazing songwriter, and I love the way he writes lyrics. We went running and then we decided we wanted to write together," she continued. "We realized we had very similar taste in music, and we just wanted to do something, we didn't care what it was."

Goulding also revealed that she's got another collaboration coming, too, but not with Ruess. Instead, it's James Blake ... though there's a very real possibility he's not aware it's even happening. Much like her version of Alt-J's "Tessellate," Ellie recently recorded a cover of one of ...

Get Ready, ‘The Originals’ Fans: Things Are About To Get ‘Pretty Hardcore’

The drama never slows down on This week, fans will get to learn what's next for the vampy Mikaelson clan and the rest of the supernatural forces lurking about in New Orleans.

After the harvest was completed, with dire consequences, the fallout will be dramatic. Executive producer Julie Plec revealed that when Davina and the rest of the teen witches, didn't resurrect post-Harvest, their powers were transferred to other witches. And boy, oh, boy do these new supernatural beings have some trouble up their sleeves for vampires Klaus, Marcel and their pals now that they've rolled into town.

"Well the consequences of the harvest power having been hijacked are pretty, pretty aggressive. We have four witches who are clearly up to something and each of them have their own reason to be back and their own revenge to seek," she told MTV News prior to Tuesday's episode.

That means that these four newcomers (or should we say oldcomers), including Celeste, the witch that Elijah Mikaelson loved centuries ago, are back and from the sounds of it they are steaming mad. "So the next four episodes are definitely, definitely pretty hardcore," she added. "And a lot of our heroes don't really come out so easily without getting their own form of punishment at the hands of these angry witches."

Previously, Charles Michael Davis, who plays Marcel, noted that as season one of the CW drama progresses fans will continually be shocked by the twists and turns the show takes.

"There's a lot of changes midseason around the next few episodes and, even for me, ...
