Watch Shirtless Tom Hiddleston Thrust In His ‘Thor’ Audition

Your Tuesday just got a whole lot better, or at least a whole lot more shirtless Tom Hiddleston. Which, in my book, yeah, better.

Hiddleston, who has won hearts (and MTV News' Real Sexiest Man Alive award) with his portrayal of the villainous Loki in "Marvel's The Avengers" and most recently "Thor: The Dark World" actually first auditioned for the hero role in those films.

As he told MTV way back in 2011, the contract he signed before his final audition said that he could be cast as either Loki or Thor.

"Hmm, even though my wig is blonde, I'm not sure it's going to end up that way," Hiddleston said he remembered thinking during the screen test.

Well, behold: aforementioned blonde wig. Oh, and Hiddleston's shirtless body. And some major hammer thrusting, if you know what I mean. (It means he's thrusting a Thor hammer, duh.) Suffice to say, you will wig out.

So far, all fans have of this screen test are the above GIFs, via Superheromovienews, but the great news is that the full screen test will be included on the home release version of "Thor: The Dark World," due out February 25. Enduring the next 29 days without the full version of this will be a struggle, but while we're counting down, at least we have this everlasting loop of Hiddleston's pectorals (Hiddlepecs) to tide us over.

Sparkly Vampires Are Out, Cupid Is In With New ‘True Love’ Movie Trilogy

After demigod sleepaway camps, dystopian gladiator battles, and a multi-year stay in the rainy environs of Forks, WA, the next big setting in young adult fiction-turned-blockbuster film might just be... New Jersey.

According to a report from Deadline, the rights to Kieran Scott's "True Love" trilogy have been snapped up for development by father-daughter team Gary A. and Madison Randall's newly-formed production company. Featuring a banished mythological matchmaker who must redeem herself to regain her powers, the first book in the YA romantic series, "Only Everything," will be out in May from Simon & Schuster.

"Only Everything" tells the story of teen love goddess Eros, a.k.a. True, who is exiled from her home on Mount Olympus and sent to live in the Garden State as punishment. Unsurprisingly, True looks around at her new digs and concludes that she's in actual hell. The only way to regain her powers and return to Olympus: to help three couples find true love, using only the skills available to her as a mere mortal.

This could be a step in the right direction for a book-to-screen scene that's had multiple high-profile misses over the past year, most of them unsuccessful attempts to fill the void left by a certain sparkly vampire. Although "Catching Fire" drew in record-breaking numbers and anticipation is running high for the straight-up thrills of the "Beautiful Creatures") and a secret society of demon-slayers ("The Mortal Instruments") both fizzled at the box office. In addition, two promising dystopian dramas which were picked up for TV ("The Selection" by Kiera ...

Justin Bieber Ready To Drop His ‘Confident’ Video: Get The Details

While Justin Bieber spends time in Panama on vacation, he hasn't forgotten about his fans.

On Monday night, Bieber promised that a new music video for will premiere this week and include Chance the Rapper.

The visual is directed Colin Tilley, who previously worked with Justin on videos for "Never Let You Go," "U Smile," "Fa La La" and, most recently, "All That Matters." Both "Confidence" and "All That Matters" are featured on Bieber's latest release, Journals, which dropped in December.

In stills from the "Confident" set, the setting appears to be a warehouse space. Beliebers can also expect a dance break from Bieber, judging by those sneak peek photos. And though there are very few details about the video, Tilley recently teased fans that Justin was "really killin it" on the shoot.

Bieber made headlines last week after he was arrested in Miami on suspicion of DUI. Shortly after the arrest, he thanked his supporters with a note of gratitude.

Beatles Tribute Recruits Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry And Pharrell

Ed Sheeran has accomplished a ton in his short career. He's toured with bestie Taylor Swift, had a hit record and recorded a tune for

But when Paul McCartney scrawled some praise on his bass guitar Monday night, Ed lost his mind. "Well this wasn't the worst way to end a Monday," Sheeran wrote just hours after he joined a bunch of other stars for the taping of the Recording Academy of America's upcoming Beatles tribute, "The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles."

Even though Sir Paul called him "brilliant," Ed still tried to play it cool after playing an acoustic version of "In My Life" for the two-hour special that will air on February 9. "Playing a gig with the Beatles tonight," he wrote. "Casual."

He probably wasn't the only guest freaking out a bit during the taping, where John Legend and Alicia Keys sang "Let It Be," Katy Perry took on "Yesterday" and boyfriend John Mayer jammed on "Don't Let Me Down" with Keith Urban, according to the Associated Press.

Pharrell Williams and Brad Paisley tackled "Here Comes the Sun," (his giant Grammy hat made a cameo), Imagine Dragons did "Revolution," Foo Fighter Dave Grohl teamed up with ELO's Jeff Lynne for "Hey Bulldog," the reunited Eurythmics took on "Fool on the Hill," Stevie Wonder jammed at his keyboard on "We Can Work It Out" and Maroon 5 played "All My Loving" and "Ticket To Ride."

‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Covers: The Good, Bad And Ugly

If you were offline all day yesterday, then you missed an all-day extravaganza of goodness — or badness, or even ugliness, depending on your vantage point.

Empire Magazine unleashed 25 different covers featuring characters from director Bryan Singer's "X-Men" sequel, with everyone represented from Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique to the very first Sentinel design. Some of the characters looked much better than others. Some of the characters are best not discussed at all. But let's throw caution to the wind and talk about them all anyway, shall we?

Read on for our picks of the good, the bad, and the ugly of the "Days of Future Past" covers.

The Good
1. Both Sets of Magneto: It's hard to mess with the Master of Magnetism. Whether he's the dapper young Michael Fassbender of the past, or the seasoned Ian McKellen of the future, Magneto looks great, full-stop.

2. Both Sets of Xavier: Likewise, it's hard to make Chuck look rough, even when he has the shaggy-haired appearance of James McAvoy. Major credit to future Professor X's rocket-chair, too. How do we get our hands on one of those?

3. The Future Soldiers: The franchise's future players all look great, for the most part. Bingbing Fan as Blink, Adan Canto as Sunspot and Booboo Stewart as Warpath all feel like they were ripped straight out of the pages of Marvel Comics. Omar Sy is the spitting image of Bishop from the comics, too. Even if the ...

Folk Legend Pete Seeger Dead At 94: Here’s 12 Reasons Why He Ruled

For more than 70 years there were few other musicians who stumped at tirelessly for folk music as Pete Seeger. The reed-thin singer and songwriter best known for songs such as "If I Had A Hammer" and "Where Have All The Flowers Gone?" died on Monday at age 94 of natural causes, leaving behind a legacy of activism, charity and community that will be hard to match.

Seeger, who influenced several generations of activist singers — from Bob Dylan to Bruce Springsteen and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello — not only played folk music, but served as a kind of living museum of the genre, enthusiastically performing and promoting activist music until shortly before his death.

Fought For Unions, Against War With A Banjo And a Smile
Seeger, known for playing a well-traveled five-string banjo and singing with a smile, began singing in support of unions in the 1940s, playing benefit concerts for migrant farm workers in California.

In addition to stumping for the labor movement in the 1950s, he also headlined countless anti-Vietnam rallies in the 1960s and marched and sang in support of the civil rights movement. His adaptation of the spiritual "We Shall Overcome" became a civil rights anthem. He continued his activism into the 1990s and 2000s, protesting the Iraq war and marching with activist at the Occupy Wall Street protesters while walking on two canes.

Blacklisted And Indicted By Congress
After joining the Communist party in 1942, Seeger was blacklisted and held on 10 chargers of contempt of Congress in 1957 after refusing to answer questions in front of the ...

Need To Know: Pete Seeger Dead, Drake Drops ‘Odio’

The death of an icon and a new song from one of the biggest names in music happening on the same day? It's the circle of music life. That, plus the return of a favorite "Breaking Bad" character and an upcoming sequel to a favorite flick are our top stories for the morning.

Pete Seeger Dead at 94
Legendary folk singer Pete Seeger passed away on Monday from natural causes. The songwriter, known for his folk-revival songs popularized during the early 1960's, penned some of the McCarthy era and civil rights movement's most cherished protest songs, including "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," "If I Had A Hammer (The Hammer Song)" and "Turn, Turn, Turn!" He was 94.

Drake Drops Spanish Track "Odio"
Somehow, Drake has managed to make himself even sexier. On Monday, the rapper dropped new track "Odio," a collabo with Aventura lead singer Romeo Santos. Though English-only fans may struggle to understand the Spanish lyrics spit between the two artists, rest assured that the weak-in-the-knees Drizzy-induced swoon can be achieved no matter the language.

Mike Makes A Triumphant Return
Spoiler alert for the (very few?) folks who have yet to jump on the "Breaking Bad" bandwagon. For those of us who were heartbroken by Mike's bloody end in Season 5, rejoice! The hit man has signed on to reprise his role in the upcoming prequel show "Better Call Saul." The hour-long series, starring Bob Odenkirk as the twisted but lovable title character, hits AMC this November. Who else are you hoping to see return?

‘Breaking Bad’ Spinoff: Jonathan Banks Joins ‘Better Call Saul’

Does Mike Ehrmantraut have a problem? He better call Saul.

That's exactly what he's doing, it seems, as actor Jonathan Banks has been hired to reprise his iconic, Emmy-nominated "Breaking Bad" role as hit-man Mike for the upcoming spinoff centered on Bob Odenkirk's shady strip-mall lawyer, Saul Goodman. Deadline reports that Banks isn't just on board as a guest for the pilot, either. He's a full-fledged series regular.

But ... that doesn't make sense?

In order to proceed, we need to put our SPOILER shades on. We'll wait a second while you do the same.

All set? Good. Let's continue.

There's the not-so-tiny issue of Mike's death to consider. Gus Fring's number one private investigator and fixer was killed in the penultimate season of "Breaking Bad," shot to death by the increasingly volatile Walter White. How can he continue to exist in the universe of "Breaking Bad," then? It's simple: the series is a prequel, designed to show what life was like for Saul Goodman before he entered the Heisenberg business.

The prequel format allows characters like Mike to return to the world of "Breaking Bad," and even leaves the door open for other deceased characters -- like, say, Gus or Walter -- to make appearances of their own. For now, however, we know at least Mike will be back among the living when "Better Call Saul" premieres in the fall.

With Mike back in the mix, it's worth wondering who else from "Breaking Bad" will get the call for "Better Call Saul." If Saul's trusted sidekicks Huell Babineaux and Patrick ...
