Paris Jackson Rushed To Hospital After Suicide Attempt

Michael Jackson's 15-year-old daughter, Paris, has been hospitalized in Los Angeles following a suicide attempt, her mother, Debbie Rowe, confirmed.

Jackson was taken to the hospital early Wednesday (June 5) morning, and though there are several conflicting reports, the Los Angeles County Fire department confirmed that 911 was called at 1:15 a.m. PT about a possible overdose. According to a report from "Entertainment Tonight," who spoke with Rowe, Paris reportedly had cuts on her wrists when authorities arrived.

Yet another source added that the teen attempted suicide after she learned she couldn't go to a Marilyn Manson concert at the Gibson Amphitheater on June 6.

Rowe told "ET" that her daughter has had "a lot going on [lately]." This month marks the four-year anniversary of Jackson's death; the pop icon died on June 25, 2009. Paris is one of Jackson's three children; she lives with older brother, Prince, 16, and younger brother, Blanket, 11, at the home of Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson.

MTV News has reached out to the Jackson camp for comment, but had yet to hear back at press time.

In the hours before the reported suicide attempt, the teen was on social media, sending out tweets, including a quote from the Beatles' 1965 song "Yesterday." She wrote, "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they're here to stay." She went on to add several other cryptic messages, including, "I wonder why tears are salty?" and "that conversation escalated quickly."

A lawyer for Rowe, Eric George, released a statement, ...

Blake Shelton Plans To Make Miranda Lambert’s CMT Awards His Own

Look, Blake Shelton's a pretty big star in his own right, what with his gig on "The Voice" and yet another hit album — Based on a True Story — riding high on the charts. But at Wednesday night's CMT Music Awards, Shelton will take a back seat to his better half, country star Miranda Lambert.

After all, she's up for four awards, including Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for her hit "Mama's Broken Heart," and Group Video of the Year for the Pistol Annies' "Takin' Pills." Meanwhile, Shelton scored just one nom: Male Video of the Year for "Sure Be Cool If You Did." So the chances are pretty good Lambert will be taking home more hardware than her husband ... though, that's fine with him. Turns out, most folks can't tell the difference once the awards are up on the mantle.

Get ready for the 2013 CMT Music Awards with these behind-the-scenes clips!

"You know, as long as one of us wins; people, when they walk in our house, they see some awards on the shelf, but they never really walk over and read 'em," Shelton said. "So if they see one of her awards sitting there, they'll be like 'Oh, what did Miranda get a Grammy for?' And I'll say 'Oh, that's mine.' And they say 'Oh, that is yours.'

"I'll do the same thing with these CMT Awards," he continued. "As long as it's on the shelf, and people don't actually read the plaque, that's mine."

Hunter Hayes Has ‘Perfect Song’ For Tonight’s CMT Music Awards

There's only a few hours left before Hunter Hayes takes the stage at the 2013 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday night (June 5). The 21-year-old country star has some big plans for the high-profile gig, set to take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 Central) on CMT.

"It's great. This is a crazy week for us. This is a big performance. We're really stoked about this," Hayes told CMT during a rehearsal for the show. "We've been wanting to do this thing for a while, and finally getting the chance to do it is pretty awesome. And to get to play ['I Want] Crazy,' it's the perfect song for being outdoors and getting crazy."

The three-time CMT Music Awards nominee is also feeling the heat to put on one hot performance, joking, "Oh boy! No pressure!"

Once the show wraps up, Hayes has a busy next few months ahead of him. On June 18, he will release his album, Encore, and he is also dreaming up what's next for his live shows — which is fitting, considering he has a headlining jaunt locked in for later this year.

Daft Punk Nab Second Week At #1 On Billboard Albums Chart

The robots reign once again. Daft Punk tops the Billboard albums chart for a second consecutive week, as their Random Access Memories sold nearly 93,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Last week, the dynamic duo posted the year's second-biggest debut, moving an impressive 339,000 copies of RAM to claim their first-ever #1 album in the U.S. This week, that number wasn't quite as high, but it was enough to easily outpace Alice In Chains' The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, which opens at #2 with sales of more than 61,000 copies.

John Fogerty's Wrote a Song For Everyone debuts at #3, with sales of nearly 51,00 copies, followed by British pop act Little Mix, who sold nearly 50,000 copies of their DNA album. Blake Shelton rounds out the Top 5 with his Based on a True Story, which sold nearly 42,000 copies.

Darius Rucker's True Believers is in at #6, selling nearly 41,000 copies, followed by the "Great Gatsby" soundtrack at #7 (more than 36,000 copies sold), Imagine Dragons' Night Visions at #8 (nearly 33,000 copies) and Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience at #9 (nearly 31,000 copies). Vampire Weekend close out the Top 10 with Modern Vampires of the City, which sold nearly 29,000 copies.

Outside the Top 10, the-Dream's IV Play failed to deliver the goods, debuting at #16, with sales of 22,000 copies, and a pair of rock acts took big tumbles down the chart: The National's Trouble Will Find Me slips from #3 to #20, and Thirty Seconds To Mars' LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS ...

Kelly Rowland ‘Checked Out’ From Friendship With Beyonce

Weeks after Kelly Rowland showed the world her the former Destiny's Child member is opening up about what might have caused the rift between her and Beyoncé — the very one she references on her candid Talk a Good Game single.

In an interview with "Omg! Insider," the singer says it was she who "checked out for a minute" during their friendship, and that, these days, their relationship is as strong as ever.

"I think the people wanted those stories for years, and that's just so sad on them because it's not like that," Rowland said. "It's so crazy, and I just think it's so sad that we live in a world where people don't want to see women get along and encourage and empower each other, and that's what we do for each other.

"I love my sister, and she is so incredibly supportive — one of the closest people to me," the season three "X Factor" judge said. "I love her to death, and I love being an aunt [to B's daughter, Blue Ivy]."

It's not just Beyoncé who has stood by the singer's side through thick and thin — so did her entire inner circle, including former DC member Michelle Williams. "I definitely think it makes friendship stronger," Rowland said. "And I'm so grateful for her (Beyoncé), for Michelle, for Angie, for Solange, for my mama T[ina Knowles], for my mother, for being incredible women in my life and always lifting me up."

‘The Voice’ Recap: Blake Shelton Loses Country Starlet Holly Tucker

It was a bittersweet episode of "The Voice" on Tuesday night as the reigning winner returned home to the stage, and current contestant Holly Tucker just plain went home.

Season three winner Cassadee Pope received a warm welcome, opening the show with a performance of her new pop/country single, "Wasting All These Tears." The single has already hit #1 on the iTunes country chart and will be on her new album, which she announced will drop in October. Currently writing and recording in Nashville, the breakout "Voice" star also revealed her new gig opening for Rascal Flatts.

While Pope admitted feeling nervous being back on the stage, season four's remaining six contestants were certainly feeling anxious too. At the top of the night, coach Blake Shelton was leading, with three contestants in the top six, and Adam Levine, Shakira and Usher were holding it down with one each.

After a duet by Shakira's Sasha Allen and Usher's Michelle Chamuel, it was announced that Usher's little spitfire was saved. This came as no real surprise, since Chamuel nailed both her performances Monday night, receiving an extended standing ovation from the audience.

The other "Sasha Fierce," as Usher nicknamed Allen in a nod to Beyoncé, also had a fabulous night Monday, and she had an equally happy birthday on Tuesday, when she was saved by America's votes, as well.

That left all four country singers fighting for the last three spots. Despite their nerves, Shelton's Holly Tucker and the Swon Brothers took the stage with a rendition of "Leave the Pieces," but neither ...

Miley Cyrus Is ‘A Self-Proclaimed Party Animal’ … And Proud Of It

Miley Cyrus has been putting Hannah Montana behind her for years now, though on Monday, she made her most mature move yet, with the premiere of her all-grown-up party jam

As if that song's pro-party sentiments and electro-pop leanings didn't make the point abundantly clear, well, Miley is all grown up. Though, as she explained to MTV's cameras on the day of her single's debut, "We Can't Stop" is less about a reinvention as it is a revolution: She's getting ready to launch the next phase of her already amazing career; and she's doing it on her terms.

"Moms, they remember their daughters watching ['Hannah Montana'], and kids remember watching the show, but that's not who they think I am," Cyrus explained. "I've done so much on my own, like putting out my twerk video ... the biggest thing people say to me is 'I love that you don't care what people think.' And I don't; I can take all the constructive criticism in the world, and ... of course I want people to love my music, but at the end of the day, I make music for me. I make music because I love it and I put good energy into it, so it will be all good."

And though she may no longer be the Disney princess, there's one thing Cyrus has kept from her past: an unparalleled work ethic, one that will surely be put to the test as she begins promoting her new album. But she's ready ... after all, "We Can't Stop" may be ...

Playing ‘Man Of Steel’ Superman: Pressure? What Pressure?

In "Man of Steel," actor Henry Cavill faced the challenge of reinventing perhaps the most iconic superhero of all time, Superman, for a new generation. But Cavill told MTV News that the only pressure he felt was what he put on himself, which is the same he would apply for any role he tackled.

"The pressure was obviously there," Cavill said. "I was aware of it. But I didn't want to acknowledge it because I'm going to put my all into every character I play — so there was always that pressure from myself."

Cavill suggested that spending time contemplating the enormous legacy of the character might have affected his ability to play him as effectively as possible.

"If I were to sort of acknowledge the worldwide pressure, it would probably negatively affect my performance," he said. "I'd be less efficient at telling my story than more efficient — and that was the most important, thing, doing justice to the character."

The film offers audiences a different kind of Superman — an alien raised on Earth who struggles to discover his identity. But Cavill said that the character is less about considering his potential as a hero and more about trying to find his place in a world where he can't get comfortable.

"I'm not too sure if he's thinking of his destiny," Cavill observed. "He's just thinking, 'OK, what am I? Why am I? I wish I had these answers. How am I going to be OK just doing this?' It's only after he discovers stuff that the introduction to Jor-El happens that ...
