Need To Know: Kevin Jonas Welcomes Baby Girl, Super Bowl Halftime Was Super Tame

Bruno Mars made the hooligan’s hearts sing as the headliner of Sunday’s (February 2) Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show while Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle added to their family with a Super Bowl baby. Hollywood deals with drama this morning in two very different ways; the release of Super Bowl trailers for some of 2014’s hottest movies comes with aggressive accusations thrown towards director Woody Allen. Here are today’s must-see stories.

Bruno Mars & Chili Peppers Bring Funk To Halftime
The ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ singer and Cali rockers lit up the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show last night. Mars proved himself a drummer (and a heartthrob) while Anthony Kiedes, Flea and the gang reminded everyone of their utter badassness by head-banging shirtless in the freezing temps. Our only complaint? The show seemed tame in comparison to the sort-of-surprise Destiny’s Child reunion of 2013 and the dramatic features in Madonna‘s 2012 show.

Kevin Jonas Welcomes Baby Girl
Jonas and wife Danielle scored on Sunday (February 2) with a Super Bowl baby. The couple welcomed daughter Alena Rose Jonas by sharing a sweet snap of mother and the newborn, saying “She is precious! We could not be more excited to start building our family together.” Could a second-generation family band already be in the works? We hope so. Congrats, cuties!

Woody Allen Accused Of Sexual Assault
The director is facing accusations yet again, this time from adopted daughter Dylan Farrow. 22 years after the scandal broke, Farrow has resurfaced the claims with a letter detailing the abuse that allegedly occurred when Allen was married to her mother, actress Mia. Allen responded with a statement through his attorney that took aim at his ex-wife: “It is tragic that after 20 years a story engineered by a vengeful lover resurfaces after it was fully vetted and rejected by independent authorities. The one to blame for Dylan’s distress is neither Dylan nor Woody Allen.”

Super Bowl Provides Super Trailers
When the football game became a blowout early on, we turned to the Super Bowl commercials to keep us on our toes… and we weren’t disappointed. The bigger and better movie trailers for some of 2014’s biggest flicks didn’t disappoint in shock value. “Transformers: Age of Extinction” gave us a first glimpse of the dinobots, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” looks simultaneously romantic and terrifying, and Chris Evans as The First Avenger takes on his old friend Bucky Barnes in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
